Greetings all! Hope you enjoyed the 141st run for the roses this weekend, but i have some bad news to break to all of you, if you haven't realized it by now. Briswatch has restricted linking to their free PPs, so instead of you coming to my site and finding them all organized for your enjoyment, now they are scattered like buckshot across the interwebs. In an attempt to meet somewhere in the middle and to provide you with a road map towards finding these past performances, you will notice the site looks exactly the same, it is however when you click on a link you will find the difference.
Instead of a hyperlink directing you towards a past performance, now the link directs you to an owner, trainer or breeder's links to that past performance. From there it should be easy to find what you're looking for, with the exception of the breeding links. For example, this Wednesdays 1st race at Belmont, the link takes you to Darley's links organized by stallion. Now it is up to you to find that PP on the page. The easiest way to do it is to perform a "SEARCH" on the page, commonly executed by pressing "CTRL + F" and searching for "BELMONT PARK - RACE 1" then its merely a matter of making sure you have the right date. BOOM! It's a piece of cake. What do you want for nothing? Rrrrrrrrrrrrrubber biscuit!
Since i'm sure I'm going to lose a lot of you due to this process, I have decided to scale back on the PPs and turn my focus back to handicapping, commentary and analysis on the horse racing scene. I will still be doing the PPs, but only for the top couple of tracks. You already know who they are: NYRA, SoCal, Kentucky, Florida and big card days, like the Preakness or whatnot. Since I'm not spending hours correlating these PPs, it gives me some free time so I'll be returning to breaking down these cards in New York on a regular basis for you and hopefully providing with a few winners throughout the year.
The Chinese use the same for crisis as they do opportunity. While its gonna require a little more work on your part to find these PPs, it's only a slight speed bump, personally I love these Briswatch PPs and find them enormously important. Adding my voice and take to the mix, along with other handicappers and lets not forget your own opinions, should help give you a confident opinion of each days card. Or i could be horribly, horribly wrong! Either way, enjoy the new format! See you at the paddock in Saratoga!
